It isn't bad, but I agree with lavender. Good try though.

Yeah, it's nice but the arms are a bit longer than they should be. You could try studying anatomy. It helps a lot. Happy

An easy way to remember how long the arms should be is that the hands reach the hips.

Yes, but in this picture it is difficult to understand that.

Well, I normally imagine it in my head. Also, I do sketches, a lot. I guess if you draw for a long time it's easy to make drawings look proportianate(sp?) anyway. So, yeah, practice makes perfect.

Actually, practice makes better, not perfect. Happy
There is a site about drawing where I read something really wise:
The day you will be completely happy with your drawings, is the day when you will pack up your tools and quit drawing.
There is always room for improvement.
By the way, Merrin, there are wooden models that show the human body and it could really help purchasing one of them if you are interesting in drawing people.
(I have experience since I had a major problem with human anatomy some time ago)

Yeah, my Health teacher had one of those, I don't think it could bend down.

Yeah, I wanted to say "Practice makes satisfactory" or something like that, but I couldn't make it sound right.

Well, it doesn't seem that way but when I look back at drawings I did in 7th grade...ick. Remember, even it doesn't seem like it, you're always improving.

Haha, yep, I have one of those friends too. But she doesn't take much interest in drawing, she's a much better writer.

Well, it doesn't matter who is good or not, everyone has their own unique style of drawing. ^_^

Right! And since everyone has their style it's difficult to compare drawings of different artists and say that one of them is better than the other...
