Yaoi is the Japanese words for guy love. It means two guys that love each other, usually for life.
Yuri is girl love, if you couldn't tell.

I LOVE yaoi (and yuri ^^). I have a tendency to talk about it around my friends...they don't appreciate it (they're not into that kind of thing). It's funny to watch their expressions and tease them. But they're very comfortable with the fact that I'm addicted to it (I love them

Well,I think it's cute. It has to have a good plot,though,pointless yaoi and yuri annoy me to no end. I tend to like yaoi and yuri romances better than straight ones,even though I am straight myself...maybe it's because it's goes against society's conformitive standards? I must sound so weird... Some yaoi are ok, 'cause it makes the story more fun to read, but the whole book with yaoi theme... it makes me feel uncomfortable.

Not per se. I mean, at least I have availed myself of it (gravitation, Gorgeous carat, Please Mr. Merman), but it just sits there for me. Ditto for yuri

Well personally I like yaoi, cuz it's just cute. But only certain couples. Some yaoi pairings are just all wrong. I got into it when I watched gravitation last year, and then pretty much every anime I've read since then have had yaoi couples in them.

As for yuri, I don't like it as much (being a girl) but I respect it and i suppose it's cute in a way.

well i tried to watch gravitation too since i've heard it's about bands and stuff i'm interested in... i saw the first episode and when it was in the middle it felt that something was going wrong there...when i finished it i closed the pc in case it was cursed xP [just kidding i just closed mozilla...] i didn't know it was yaoi...i'm into animes like gravitation but i just couldn't bear to see shounen-ai...however i can understand it if anyone likes them and i respect it.. but jeez i'm just not ready to see another episode of yaoi...although i could try yuri

Actually, if I remember correctly, my reaction to Gravitation the first time I watched it was " Bigeyes

..." and I did know what type of show it was. So maybe it's just a Gravitation thing.

^^ np..u see i searched the internet for band and music animes and i found gravitation...i saw it was shounen-ai but didn't notice the "ai" part and even if i did i wouldn't understand.. but i was like Bigeyes

too ^^..won't make the same mistake again...but if there's an interesting yuri anime about bands or music or whatever i would gladly see the first episode just to be sure it's ok xD

Well if I had seen the title "Gravitation", I would have probably watched it, because it reminds me of Science lessons and gravity. But when I read your opinions I decided that I won't watch it for sure.
