Old Vs. New Anime

I dunno I'm suprised this hasnt been posted before, but do you ever notice how old anime just looks different from new? Which one do you like better/prefer?

I know I couldnt stand old anime because it annoyed me and I refused to watch any anime that was made before the year 2000, although I liked the slayers and thats frm the 90's and I now like Yu Yu Hakusho which also from the 90's. Anyway just wondered if this was the same for anyone else?

hmm Dragon ball z started in about 1982,Kabamaru iga no in 1983 Yu Yu Hakusho and One piece in 90s so...old animes Rules(for me)

Well, my favourite anime is 07 Ghost. It is has less than 20 episodes right now and a new episode is released very week. I am into newer anime I guess, but I would like to watch some old ones too.

yeah my dad watched astro boy as a kid and introduced me to anime with pokemon, my first real animes were fruits basket and .hack/legend of the twilight.

Funny thing really my dad was watching steel angel kurumi (for those of you who dont know what it is its and ecchi robot anime) and everytime he was watching it and i walked in he turned it off. Anyway (this was when i was um about 10) he threw out a pokemon mcdonalds toy and i was angry. He asked me what he could do to make it up for me and i told him to let me watch steel angel kurumi (m 15+ for animated nudity and violence) and i got sick and watched it all, he hasnt even finished it yet. Thats the same for chobits, yu yu hakusho, the slayers, and most other animes. Like he'll show me one ill watch it go into his libary account request the next few discs and watch a head lol.

yeah and now i have forced him into dressing up as an anime character and he agreed! also (this is probobly irelevent but anyway) what im going to do is because he will be kurama and i will be hiei (ultimate fan pairing) im just going to randomly give him a hug or make him ebnd down and kiss him on the check lol (i am so ebil)

Well, as I have said before, here in Greece most people believe that anime is just Pokemon.

well at my school everyone has just seen 4kids stuff and the stuff i bring in (which is all ecchi) so they think anime is really weird *sigh* what makes matters wrose is that they think im weirder loving the characters T_T

Yes but here people believe that anime is for kids who are 10 years old or younger.

same but it suprised me because once one of the cool kids say my friends pokemon guide book and said "oh my gosh pokemon i love that" and it scared me because i dont really like it anymore

when i was 6 years old....or7(dont remember...it was my first anime pokemon,Digimon...Kabamaru and....Dragonball those was my first animes....

i know when i see pokemon i feel sad because i really want to be a kid agian, and then i watch higurashi and start thinking of murder and drinking blood :)
