Death Note us remake? sounds like a bad idea

as you might already know warner bros has a company called vertigo make a us remake of the death note movie but i think it can be a disaster

I haven't heard about it, any more information?

I've seen the costume they are going to use for the Death God, it's pretty sweet. But other than that, the rest of the stuff is going to crash and burn.

omg! um yeah i think its gonna be kinda stupid. because Zac efron is more of a i guess like a disney type funny/romantic movies and stuff... i dont see him playing light at all.. >=p
idk i just don't like it at all i think its a waste of time to me and that movie dragonball!!..

People are saying that Zefron should be Light because they look similar... However, Warner Bros hasn't released any official cast list. They only just announced recently that they'd be making the film.

I really don't think they're going to pick him... At least, I hope very strongly that they won't. :P But pretty much everything about the movie is speculation at this point.

I think it is official....but not for the warners brothers one, they did another one already (or at least started on it) and Zac had the main role.

My worry is if America will be able to capture the tru essence of Death Note, I mean what happans if they decide to aim it at the wrong age group. I know thats unlikely to happan but even thinking of remaking DN is a bad idea. Just my personal views on this of course.

I thought it was just a rumor....Well, if nothing else seeing Zac Efron playing a psychopath should be interesting.

idk how it will turn but before i saw dragon ball evolution i wasnt goin to see it first but then it was cool but uh too much american so it ruined some characters

Well, I think the Dragonball movie was bad because it didn't follow any of the manga or anime.

If one of the Jonas Brothers plays Teru Mikami, I will laugh very hard.
